About Dmitrii
I am a McGill University graduate in Statistics and Computer Science with several months of experience teaching students online. I work with school, college, and early university students in math, physics, chemistry, calculus, and programming. I take a calm, patient, and structured approach to teaching, adapting to each student’s pace and goals. I value clear communication, reliability, and creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is to help students build confidence, strong foundations, and long-term academic skills.

My lessons are fully online, using a shared digital whiteboard streamed from my iPad with a stylus. This allows lessons to be clear, visual, and interactive.
My approach is flexible and student-focused. Depending on the student’s needs, lessons may focus on filling gaps in foundational knowledge, exam preparation, problem-solving practice, or a combination of these. For new or unclear topics, I first explain the theory clearly, then solve one full example in detail. After that, I gradually involve the student more and more in the solution process until they can solve similar problems independently.
I emphasize correct reasoning and clear steps rather than guessing answers. Mistakes and questions are encouraged, as they are an essential part of learning. When helpful, I assign homework, share lecture notes, and review work outside of class, always discussing it together during lessons. I adapt my explanations using different approaches—analogies, simpler examples, or structured algorithms—to match each student’s learning style.
My lessons are suitable for school, college, and early university students in math, physics, chemistry, calculus, and programming.
