About Emilie
Hi there! I'm Emilie, a French student passionate about languages and traveling. Last year, I moved to Canada on my own to study biology at McGill.
As someone who has lived in France all my life, I have a native proficiency in French.
I already have teaching experience. With my association NoticeNeuro, I have developed an online neuroscience course that explores and simplifies the world of neuroscience through short videos, graphs, and quizzes.
I can't wait to share French culture with you!

As a young adult, I have learned many languages and I know how easy it is to give up. I am here to provide a non-judgmental environment to help you progress in your learning of French!
I believe that the most efficient way to learn a new language is through conversation and immersion, supported by grammatical knowledge.
In our first call, we will assess your current level and your purposes for learning French so that we can reach your goals together! During this first conversation, don’t hesitate to tell me what you like (hobbies, TV shows, etc.) so I can adapt the content of my classes to you!
I teach both complete beginners and advanced students looking to further their communication skills. I also offer homework help in French.
During our lesson:
- we will learn simple grammar rules
- we will practice with exercises
- most of our lesson will consist of a themed conversation like real French people!
I use Zoom to host the session. To track your progress, you will be given access to a Google folder in which I will share with you the grammar points as we go through them, as well as exercises to do before or during the lesson according to your schedule, and the new vocabulary encountered!
Every student is unique and progresses at their own pace, and it is essential for me that you feel comfortable and confident in my classes, and more importantly, that you have fun!
