About Ashavjeet
I’m a Mechanical Engineer with a B.Eng. and M.Eng. from UofA, combining teaching experience with hands-on engineering and research.
My background includes structural analysis, plastics and manufacturing processes, additive manufacturing research, conventional lathe and milling work, machining research, and energy-system optimization across the project lifecycle.
So when we discuss forces, materials, manufacturing or optimization, we don’t have to stop at the textbook. We can connect the theory to how engineers actually use it.
My goal is simple: understand the problem, visualize what is happening, and then solve it like an engineer.

Stuck on a free-body diagram? Not sure where to start with a mechanics problem? Or understand the theory but get lost once the equations begin?
That’s exactly what we’ll work on.
I teach engineering from first principles, connecting the mathematics to what is physically happening. We’ll use diagrams, real engineering examples, and step-by-step problem solving to make Statics, Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, Engineering Mathematics and Multivariable Calculus easier to understand.
Lessons are interactive. You’ll solve problems with me, explain your reasoning, spot mistakes, and gradually build a problem-solving method you can use independently in assignments, midterms and finals.
I can also guide you through engineering academic projects and research, helping with modelling, calculations, technical reasoning, optimization and project structure.
