About Abdul Rahman
I have a bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science, and a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University (USA) with a 3.85/4.0 GPA. I have taught university students calculus mathematics and physics courses since I was a freshmen in 2011, and I stayed as a part-time tutor until 2015. While pursuing my master's degree, I also taught university students mechanical engineering (fluid mechanics course) for one year as a graduate teaching assistant before I became a full time researcher at the university. I received many compliments and praises throughout all my teaching career.

For the tutoring sessions from 2011 until 2015, I did not teach courses. However, I would sit in the tutoring room waiting for students to stop by and ask me random questions in Math and Physics as they try to solve their homework or prepare for an exam or just to learn and improve their knowledge. I would tackle the problems and questions by utilizing an effective method. First, I would understand the problem and question on my own by just memorizing the laws and strategies or quickly skimming through academic resources. Then, I use a sharing method to have them show me what they can do or what they know to address their problem by me helping them and them participating. This way they get to participate to reach an organized correct logical answer.
Now for teaching the fluid mechanics courses at the university from August 2015 to May 2016, I use a course style technique where I would come prepared before every session. I prepare what to teach my students and how to deliver to them with the correct fluid mechanics common daily-life examples. This way they can relate and apply the course material outside the class and thus understand it better. In addition, I prepare questions to make them stay focused and be involved throughout the session, keeping the material interesting and challenging. In summary, for every session I taught, I understood the chapter, prepared what to teach, thought of daily-life examples to make things relatable, organized the flow of the discussion, and prepared interesting questions.
Moreover, I am very flexible with students. If anyone is stuck on a topic, I am very patient and can explain the same topic using more (maybe even better) daily-life examples, or just making the idea flow smoothly to the mind.
