About Brett
I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a New York State Engineer-in-Training. I currently work in engineering design, where I use technical problem-solving, AutoCAD, and engineering judgment in real project work.
My background gives me a strong foundation in math, physics, engineering fundamentals, and technical drawing. I understand how frustrating these subjects can feel when the explanation is unclear, so I focus on making each topic organized, practical, and easier to follow.
I take tutoring seriously and aim to be prepared, patient, and professional in every lesson. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their problem-solving process, and understand the material well enough to apply it on their own.

I try to make technical subjects feel simple, practical, and less intimidating. My tutoring approach is built around clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and helping students understand why a method works instead of just memorizing formulas.
A typical lesson starts by identifying what the student is struggling with, whether that is a homework problem, test review, concept, or software skill. Then we break the topic down into smaller steps, work through examples together, and finish with the student solving problems while I guide them. For AutoCAD lessons, I like to work directly through drawings, commands, layers, dimensions, layouts, plotting, and real drafting workflows.
What sets me apart is my engineering background. I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, earned my New York State EIT, and currently work in engineering design using AutoCAD and technical problem-solving. I bring a practical engineering mindset to tutoring, so I focus on making the material useful, organized, and understandable.
My lessons are for middle school, high school, and college students who need help with math, physics, SAT Math, engineering fundamentals, or AutoCAD. I can help with homework support, test prep, concept review, drafting basics, and building confidence in technical subjects.
