About Ike

As a tutor, I have come to appreciate the importance of having a safe space to Any struggles that the student is having with their work I don’t want anyone to Phil inferior to their classmates at school that the fact that they are struggling now is of the Capability. In my GCSEs, I achieved all 7s, 8s and 9s as my final gradesAnd taught myself the entirety of the additional mathematics content three months before the exam. My predicted grades did not reflect what I knew my capability was and if I had believed what my teachers thought of me I would not have been able to achieve what I achieved. I believe that every single student that comes across my path has the capability to exceed every expectation that has been placed on them and that is what I aim to bring out in our lessons.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring for GCSE and 11+ for the last five years and have been working in a Kumon centre for the last 10 years. I have also worked as a team leader on NCS and as a children’s ministry worker at a local church; I have extensive experience with teaching and managing to a wide range of children including ones SEN students.

I am a final year student at Russell Group University studying mechanical engineering. I am dyslexic so throughout my life I have had to come up with creative ways to enable me to learn content and memorise processes. That is something I enjoy supporting other people with when they struggle with the same things I understand every student is different and I aim to create a space where students feel open enough to let me know what they struggling with but that is also Professional and effective.
