About Sam
I'm a second-year Mechanical Engineering (MEng) student at the University of Southampton and received a first-class honours grade at the end of my first year. I have been through the new GCSE system myself so know what it is like for students and can offer support based on my experience. I want to help students at any level to succeed in STEM and to inspire them to not only reach but surpass their expectations. The skills I aim to teach can stretch further than GCSE preparing for both advanced level/higher education and many different careers. I believe that an understanding of Maths and Physics can allow the world to be viewed in a more critical and analytical way; a valuable skill for entrepreneurship and employers alike.

I teach Maths and Physics at GCSE level and my lessons are typically structured to be one hour long, but I am happy to be flexible to fit whatever suits you. I strive to make my lessons as interactive and fun as possible by using real-world examples and encouraging students to think for themselves. I believe that the best way to truly learn something is to go beyond fact repetition and gain a thorough understanding.
