About Alexa

I am a sophomore at Jacksonville University majoring in Mechanical Engineering, looking for a minor in mathematics and Naval Science. I was in many organizations in high school, including NJROTC, student government, National Honors Society, BETA club, and started my own Multicultural Club. I am currently in NROTC, developing myself mentally and morally as a student in the world in order to be a Naval Officer. I love studying and I am good at teaching, showing younger people easier and more relatable strategies of how to do a problem that a teacher sometimes cannot teach.

About the lesson

My teaching method would be specifically catered to a person. If this person has a good foundation in their subject, I will help them go deeper within it. If they are completely beginner, I will help them step by step and hold their hand every step of the way.

Something that sets me apart as a tutor is that I am currently a student myself. An upcoming sophomore at Jacksonville University, I know what it is to struggle and as a MechE, I know what it is to learn concepts that you have not even thought of before. The student and I can relate in that aspect, and we will be learning together.

I am looking for younger students, preferably those in lower level calculus and algebra, as well at trigonometry and biology. I am not the best at chemistry myself, but I can help. I am also looking for lower level physics students. Those in middle and high school would be the best but I could also help in elementary and junior.
