About Karl
I have completed my first year of BEng (Mechatronic) at
Stellenbosch University and have decided to delay my studies for
two years, as the demands of the course were becoming too
intense for me at the present moment.
I have a year’s experience teaching English [FAL] to
underprivileged students as part of the S.M.I.L.E. programme
(2017).

I have a passion for teaching bright young minds and helping them
expand and reinforce their knowledge in subjects they are
struggling with. I am patient and able to break down complex
concepts into more digestible pieces, in order to help learners gain
a more grassroots understanding of the topic at hand.
I adore teaching through the use of fun and effective allegories, allowing for difficult concepts to be easily understood at a practical level. I can then build on this knowledge with more abstract concepts (see the attached YouTube video for an example of this).
