About Kirti
Hi, I'm Kirti and I'm currently a first year medic at King's College London.
Having excelled in my GCSE's and A levels (3A*'s in Maths, Biology and Chemistry) , as well as gotten through the gruelling med school application progress, I have a good idea on the best revision strategies for maths and the sciences and I've taken up tutoring because I'd like to pass on the knowledge that I've learnt over the past few years.
Having struggled with sciences and maths especially in year 10 to having achieved 9's in these subjects at GCSE in year 11, I completely understand what it feels like to put your all into revision only for you to end up with a poor result, and how lost it can make you feel. That's why I've made it so important for me to make sure that my tutoring is tailored completely to the student's needs so that they can get the most out of my sessions.

As a student that has achieved a 9 in GCSE maths and an A* at A level maths, I understand exactly how to revise and study in the most efficient way possible to secure those top grades.
My lessons usually range from 1-2 hours in length and are aimed at all ages from 11-18 (11+ level to A level). Although it varies case by case depending on what the student wants, a typical lesson would start off with correcting any homework set in the previous session, then going through the content for that session and finally guiding the student through a few practise questions of varying difficulty before leaving the student with some more questions to get on with before the next session. I've found that this method of tutoring yields the best outcome in terms of student engagement as it means I'm not stuck on one part of the session for too long, as well as retaining the content - especially with maths as practise questions are the best way to consolidate learning.
