About Lana
I’m a dedicated medical applicant student who achieved all 9s at GCSE and is now predicted A*A*A* at A-level, but I didn’t start out confident in Science. I struggled at first and felt like nothing I revised was actually sticking, until I finally found the formula that clicked: understanding the content clearly and mastering exactly what the mark scheme wants. Once I learnt how examiners think, everything changed for me, and my grades shot up. That experience is why I want to teach. I know what it’s like to feel lost, and I know how to break subjects down in a way that makes them make sense. In my lessons, I focus on clear explanations, simple methods, and mark-scheme-specific answers that guarantee students pick up the maximum marks available. I show you how to structure responses the way examiners reward, how to spot common question patterns, and how to turn knowledge into marks every single time. Helping students move from confused and stressed to confident and capable is genuinely what motivates me, and it’s why I love tutoring.

My lessons are designed to make Science feel clear, manageable and even enjoyable. Each session is fully tailored to the student’s needs, whether that’s reviewing class content, breaking down tricky topics, or strengthening exam technique. I use step-by-step explanations, visual aids, and real exam questions to help students learn mark scheme specific answers and understand the “why,” not just memorise facts. We regularly practise past papers to build confidence, improve speed, and learn exactly how to structure high-mark answers. I create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking their time to master difficult concepts. Every lesson ends with a quick recap to check understanding and set small, achievable goals for next time. Sessions are flexible, engaging and focused on helping each student reach their full potential in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
