Medical Physiologist in Cleveland, OH with strong background in biological and physical sciences ready to make you enjoy science.

Methodology

My teaching methods involve lots of diagrams, and integration of multiple figures and images to help students visualize the subject in their minds. I find dialogue and input from my students during session to be very beneficial to their comprehension of the subject. I like to keep sessions informal and I welcome students inquiry above and beyond the goals of the session.

Background

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with degrees in Biology, Microbiology, and Human Biology before working as an Ophthalmic Technician in a variety of commercial and private practices. I spent all 4 years of my undergraduate career tutoring fellow undergrads and high-school students. Working as a TA during graduate school, I tutored groups of 1-15 on concepts of evolutionary biology and general physiology.

Details

The first lesson will involve discussion of tutoring goals, the student's background knowledge on the subject matter, and the resources the student's academic program is providing them or expecting them to utilize. There is no mandatory minimum number of sessions and scheduling can be flexible to meet the student's need. Sessions will be via webcam-only for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19, but I hope to be able to begin in-person sessions by the end of June.
