About Kate
Hi there, I'm Kate (she/her)! As a medical sciences student at Western University who recently completed her first year, my passion for learning has grown immensely. I was specifically inspired by my first year biology courses as I got to learn in depth about the intricate mechanisms of life. My fondness has extended since then, as I now find myself wanting to share in the wonders of biological processes with younger students who also find this subject interesting, but may need a little help visualizing and understanding the elaborate methods by which organisms survive. Kate guided me through grade 11 biology when I was struggling with the organ systems of the body, effectively helping me review and deeply understand concepts with application questions. She was able to adjust lessons to my pace; she was patient and I could tell she truly cared about my success in the class!
Kate is extremely skilled at teaching complicated science concepts in a meaningful way. She has helped me to better understand topics like cellular respiration and the krebs cycle. She pays attention to detail and is patient and understanding!
