About Angelica

Hi! I’m Angelica, a current medical student with a strong background in biology, anatomy, physiology, and the health sciences. I’ve spent years studying these subjects at both the undergraduate and medical school level, and I also have experience teaching anatomy to undergraduate students.

I know firsthand that science can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re expected to understand a large amount of material in a short period of time. Over the years, I’ve learned how important it is to understand the “why” behind a concept instead of simply memorizing facts. That is something I try to bring into every tutoring session.

In addition to teaching, I have experience working in clinical settings and conducting medical research, which helps me connect what students are learning to real-life examples. I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping students reach the point where a difficult concept finally clicks.

Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and telling me when something still doesn’t make sense. There is no single way to learn, and I’m always willing to explain something differently until we find the approach that works best for you.

About the lesson

As a medical student, I know how overwhelming science courses can feel when there is a lot of information to learn at once. My goal as a tutor is to make difficult concepts easier to understand and help students figure out how to actually apply what they are learning rather than relying on memorization alone.

I tailor each lesson to the student and what they are currently working on. We can review difficult concepts, work through practice questions together, go over assignments, or prepare for an upcoming exam. I like to break complicated topics down into smaller pieces, use diagrams and real-world examples, and ask questions throughout the lesson to make sure the material is actually making sense.

What sets me apart is my experience both learning and teaching science. I am currently a medical student with experience as an anatomy teaching assistant, as well as in clinical medicine and medical research. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I am happy to adjust my teaching style based on what works best for each student.

My lessons are great for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students seeking help with biology, anatomy, physiology, and other science and pre-health courses. I can also help students develop better study strategies, prepare for exams, and feel more confident approaching challenging material.
