About Ashwyn
Hi, my name is Ashwyn and I'm a medical student at Cardiff University, who got straight 9s at GCSEs and 39/45 in the International Baccalaureate (A* A* A at A levels). I also have a great love for sports and music, playing cricket at a county and premier level as well as performing concert piano. I have taught various things ranging from music and coaching cricketers to college students. I love to teach and use my own experience of learning how to learn and enjoy myself in the process to instil that passion into my students since I am a strong believer that enjoying what you are doing is of utmost importance.

Through my own experiences while doing my GCSEs and A-Levels, I focus on personalised, student-centred learning, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. All students are different and learn in different ways! I will typically use an interactive whiteboard during lessons, so that both myself and my student can write down workings and I can see how the student structures their approach to various problems. I will also provide multiple resources for my students. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, balancing explanation with plenty of engaging interactive practice. With experience teaching college students, I cater to learners up to GCSE level, adapting content to their specific needs and abilities.

Perfect! Ashwyn has been an amazing help to my son in the lead up to his science GCSE exams. He's easy to get along with, and my son can relax and enjoy his tutoring sessions and feels comfortable to laugh off the things he's not quite getting right. Ashwyn is really organised, has given him great tips and extra resources, and I'd highly recommend.
