About Shayaan
I am a medical student with a strong interest in science and problem-solving. I achieved strong results in my own GCSEs and A-Levels, particularly in Biology, and I’m now continuing my studies in medicine.
I decided to start tutoring because I remember how challenging it can feel to prepare for exams without clear guidance on what actually gets marks. A lot of students understand the content but struggle to apply it in exam questions, and that’s something I want to help fix.
I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simpler steps and helping students build confidence over time. I find it rewarding when a student goes from feeling stuck or unsure to being able to answer questions independently and improve their grades.

My lessons are structured but flexible depending on the student’s needs. A typical session will include:
Reviewing key topic knowledge in a clear, simple way.
Working through exam-style questions and mark schemes.
Identifying weak areas and fixing misunderstandings.
Teaching exam technique (how to gain full marks, not just understand content).
I focus heavily on active learning, so students are regularly answering questions and applying knowledge rather than just listening.
