About Chris

Hi, I'm Christine!

I have provided specialist tuition across a range of areas over the past four years. I have prepared students for success in the following areas: GAMSAT, WACE exams, high school and primary school.

I graduated with a double degree in Biomedical Science (BSc) in 2016, from UWA.

I completed my first year of post-graduate Medicine in 2017 and received a Dean's Commendation for Excellence in academic performance.

In high school I studied: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English, Modern History and Religion and Life.

I provide tuition for:

- Specialist English, Essay Writing and Tertiary Communication Studies tutor

- Human Biology and Anatomy (Highschool - Tertiary)

- Maths

- Chemistry, Physics

- Society and Environment, Modern History

- Religion and Life (WACE)

- GAMSAT March or September exam;

Section 1: Comprehension

Section 2: Essay Structure, Idea Generation, Planning, Developing your personal voice as a writer

Section 3: Human Biology, Year 12 Physics Level, Undergraduate level Chemistry.

A little more about me,

I graduated with a top ATAR in 2013 with certificates of Distinction in English 3A/3B and Religion and Life 3A/3B - meaning I achieved within the top 0.5 percentile (%) of the State of Western Australia, within those courses.

I completed a Biomedical Science double degree in 2016 at UWA. I received a Vacation Research Scholarship from the Telethon Kids Institute for the summer of 2016-17. I am passionate about both science and the arts and would love to help you conquer your own studies and realise your potential.

I have tutored and mentored remote and rural students with Teach Learn Grow and volunteer with Radio Lollipop at PMH. I have a Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance. I also hold an AUSTSWIM Swimming Instructor Licence and have taught Swimming. I hold current First Aid and CPR qualifications.

About the lesson

I am passionate about teaching. I plan tutorials diligently. I love seeing my students grow throughout the year. I always work to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best potential. My aim is to teach students correct, effective and targeted study patterns. I have been able to markedly boost exam performance for students by teaching them strategic study and exam techniques. I believe no student should be told they have limits or cannot access a particular subject infact, with some hard work, persistence and the right help, any student can achieve what they set their mind to.

If you are passionate about achieving a goal, whether that is short- or long-term, I am happy and experienced to help you achieve your aims.

I have a bank of past papers, questions, tests, and samples, in a range of areas. I encourage students to write practice responses/answer questions regularly and I provide feedback within a week via email (complementary to tutes). If you are worried about your performance in the below subject areas or rather, would like to excel, feel free to contact me.

Details

Price is negotiable and varies dependent on subject level, level of preparation and travel.

Price is between $35 and $55p/h.

If cost is an issue, I am flexible with fortnightly, monthly or as-needed tutorials.
I can also provide tuition via Skype or email (i.e providing an opinion about a student’s writing, critique and advise upon strategies to achieve improvement and success).
