About Emily
I am a medical student with a strong passion for education, mentorship, and community service. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a deep understanding of effective study strategies, time management, and how to break down complex concepts into clear, approachable steps.
I enjoy working with students of all ages and backgrounds, especially those who may need extra support or encouragement. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students gain confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with learning.
In addition to tutoring math and science, I provide guidance for college and medical school applications, including essay writing, school selection, and navigating the admissions process. I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and reaching their full potential.

My approach as a tutor is student centered and supportive. I focus on building strong foundations, identifying gaps in understanding, and explaining concepts in a clear, step by step way.
Teaching method and techniques

Typical lesson plan
Each lesson begins with a brief review of previous material and identification of problem areas. We then cover new concepts using guided instruction followed by practice problems. Lessons end with review questions, strategy tips, and a plan for independent practice.
