About Anna
As a medical student, I am passionate about helping others and am an excellent listener. I achieved first in Northern Ireland in GCSE Maths, Further Maths, French, Geography and second in A level Maths and I was part of the winning UK Maths Challenge team 2 years consecutively. I believe this demonstrates my outstanding exam technique, problem solving ability and attention to detail, which I aspire to pass on to my pupils. In my spare time, I love playing hockey, piano, violin and reading!

I want my pupils to gain an appreciation for their subject, to learn how to learn effectively and encourage the most fruitful independent study techniques to employ outside lessons. I recognise that every pupil has a different learning style and pace, to which I adapt appropriately. My style is open and conversational; I create an environment where the pupil feels comfortable asking questions and identifying areas of their learning that need greater attention. I explain material in a variety of ways such as visual aids & analogies, with quizzes to test their knowledge regularly in an interactive, rewarding way.
