About Alexandra
Hi there!
My name is Lexie and I’m a first-year medical student at Lincoln Medical School who has a deep passion for learning and people (it’s the main reason I wanted to become a doctor!).
I have been working with children since I was thirteen as an all-star cheerleading coach and have also been a pastoral carer (as well as choral scholar/singer) in the National Children’s Choir of GB. I have experience tutoring and volunteering with children from age five to eighteen as well as focusing on adaptive abilities and special educational needs.
After having a pretty rocky start in secondary school, I had to quickly discover how to study effectively and instantly fell in love with English and Science, I was actually home-schooled and directed my own learning for a year before returning to state-school to achieve my GCSE'S and began tutoring from then on!
I quickly realised through tutoring people of all abilities that no two people are the same - not everyone is going for a grade 9 or A* but some may be looking just to pass. I started to determine success on a case-by-case basis and by using a unique methodology for each student I saw each and every one of them finds confidence in their ability!

My lessons typically last for an hour and I provide additional reading and resources for all my students, after achieving an A* in psychology at a-level and garnering over 50 hours of tutoring psychology in the past six months I have created a teaching methodology that specialises around the student: interested in criminal psychology?
