About Abdulsabour
Nice to meet you! I am a medical student at the University of Manchester with a strong interest in education. I achieved top grades at GCSE and A level, and I would love to help you learn effectively. I am an amicable individual who takes pride in my ability to understand, work with and assist others. I look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions you may have!
As of 2025, I have been a private tutor for students from KS2 - KS5, with over 400 hours experience primarily in GCSE tutoring. I focus on helping students consolidate their understanding of core skills; where possible, I also aim to stretch understanding, helping them to get ahead in their studies.
During sixth form, I took part in a project called Maths Masterclasses, where I helped design and deliver lessons to primary school students. Planning my presentation required careful thought about structure, clarity, and how to challenge the students beyond their curriculum. I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), researching how education strategies can be used in children’s medicine to give children and their carers better understanding of health. Techniques like “teach back,” where students explain a topic in their own words, have stuck with me as important tools for reinforcing learning.
More informally, I’ve often found myself helping friends understand difficult topics, and I’ve learnt how to adapt my explanations depending on who I’m speaking to. These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically.
Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non-fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics. I look forward to helping students build confidence and enjoy learning as much as possible. I’m here to make our sessions fun, structured, and tailored to your pace, helping to place you on the path to success!

My name is Abdul, and I am a medical student in the North of England. I am a patient and dedicated private tutor with over 400 hours of experience tutoring students from KS2 to KS5. I specialise in GCSE core subjects and I am able to tutor Maths, English Language and all three sciences.
I achieved grade 9s in all core subjects at GCSE and AAA at A-Level, and I am still training to be a future doctor - as such, I have a strong understanding of what works and what doesn't when it comes to study. I place a great deal of emphasis on not just explaining the "what" students need to know, but the "how" - exam technique, study skills, revision strategies - all so I equip your child to succeed even outside of lesson time.
I have an amicable and friendly demeanour and don't mind the odd joke, which helps to break the ice and makes things easier getting started! Importantly, I have developed a knack for explaining things, breaking down tricky-to-digest concepts into manageable chunks.
I hope to hear from you soon - let's make learning less scary, together!!!!!
