A study implementing a 12-week yoga-program among teens receiving outpatient mental health treatment. Primary aims were to investigate the influence of the program on quality of life, anxiety and eating disorder symptoms and substance abuse related symptoms compared to standard care.

Study aimed at implementing prevention interventions aimed at reducing substance use, HIV/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis among Hispanic young adults. Interventions so far have involved free HIV/VH testing at FIU campus and a social media awareness and prevention campaign

Community Engaged Physician Research Forum
Received Honor's designation for a Community Engaged Physician project paper entitled “Reducing Cervical Cancer in Women of Low Socioeconomic Residing in North Miami, FL.” The project was selected as one of the best in the class, and I presented the findings in our CEP community research forum. The project integrated clinical experiences with population health, community assessment and recommendations for health promotion.
