About Anna
I'm currently studying an accelerated medicine degree at the University of Southampton and am due to start a masters in genetic medicine at the University of Cambridge this autumn. Prior to this, I completed a Biology degree at Imperial College London.
I'm looking to tutor in science and maths up to A-Level standard. I have been tutoring in this age group for around a year.
I achieved an A* in A-Level Biology and As in Maths, Chemistry and Psychology. At GCSE I achieved A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths.
I also tutor applicants applying to medicine and offer advice regarding applications. I achieved a 735 (with 3 subsections scoring above 750) average + band 1 in the UKCAT and received 4 interview invitations.

My teaching method is based on the individual. Should the student's preference be visual, audio, or written learning styles I will be sure to accommodate this.
I approach each topic by firstly understanding the existing competency of the student - avoiding the repetition of content the student may already know and starting at a level they will feel comfortably challenged. I believe tutoring should be actively student-led and such avoid simply lecturing topics and prefer to engage the student with as much involvement as possible.
For medical school application tutoring, I teach techniques to score highly on admissions exams including the UKCAT and BMAT. I also advise/proof-read personal statements and can assist with interview preparation.
