About Matt
Currently, I'm a full-time medical student working on an NIH research project at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
I received my undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Wichita State University; and subsequently obtained my Masters degree from Northwestern University in Chicago.
I worked as a tutor through college and graduate school, primarily for ACT/SAT and MCAT prep. I also have experience with tutoring math, chemistry, physics, nursing, and history; including students from middle-school age through returning adults.

One of my biggest frustrations with some schooling systems has always been the utility of rote memorization. I am someone who can remember almost anything if you put it into the proper context; which is exactly the way I design my tutoring lessons.
My teaching style is ideal for high school and college students who are needing help cementing concepts. I employ a method centered around utilizing practice questions with a "See one, Do One, Teach On"-mantra. By doing this, I have found that both the student and myself can get a better understanding of where the gaps lie and where further lessons are needed.
