About Emily
Hi, my name is Emily!
I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Newcastle and I offer online Maths tuition for GCSE level. I achieved A*AA in my Maths, Biology and Chemistry A levels as well as two A grade AS levels in Further Maths and general studies.
Maths didn't always come naturally to me and I know how disheartening it can be to feel like you are always behind in class, my tutoring sessions aim to build your confidence in your own ability and this in my experience in turn improves grades.

Hi, my name is Emily and I am a GCSE Maths tutor.
I achieved an A* in my Maths A-Level and and A in AS Level Further Maths. I understand what it is like to struggle to understand Maths, as at first learning Maths did not come naturally to me, but overtime I have developed methods which aid understanding and boost grades.
My teaching method starts with providing you with a relevant exam paper for you to have a go at. It doesn't matter how much or little you can answer, it just helps me to determine what areas you need the most support with.
We then go from there and usually have weekly sessions working systematically through different areas of Maths increasing your confidence, understanding and grades. I use different techniques to make sure you understand the methods I teach so you can apply them in an exam.
I am a huge believer in exam practice and so all of my lessons will include carefully selected past paper questions for us to work through together.
