About Melissa

In 2017, I had the chance to work as a data entry operator for milestones solutions (IT design and development office) for 4 months full time, I did data entry but I also created the exercises and subjects of 'English for high school students (descriptive, narrative, argumentative ...).
During this year and after obtaining the baccalaureate, some of my comrades took it again and needed help in English, and therefore I gave them methodology courses to help them in the preparation.
And that's when I decided to work as a private tutor on my own in 2018, I had a small group of children from my neighborhood who were in 6th grade and so they had just been introduced to this new non-mother tongue.
The methodology I adopted at the very beginning was:
The alphabet of course.
The realization of basic vocabulary and grammar sheets as well. Initiation to the basics of “knowing how to present oneself”.
It is at the infantile age that the neuronal plasticity of the child is the greatest: and this is why I worked on the pronunciation and I encouraged them to oral communication so that the child gets used to this new linguistic code. Hence the importance of the playful dimension in the process (I had recourse to singing, music ...) like of the alphabet song in English.
When tutoring lessons are directed to the child, it is important to discuss this with the parents.
Later in the same year and in my university town I brought homework help to a college student in (5th) once a week, in this context I refer to the lessons followed in class, I respect the school program. For this student I made a report of skills to establish a personalized program.
The progress of the pupil should be noticeable, I occasionally made small evaluations or targeted exercises to see if my support classes are assimilated.

About the lesson

My major professional experience is teaching English. I had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of students from different age groups from 8 to 18 years old English for two years. Therefore, I am a compassionate teacher, who remains sensitive to the unique needs of children, differentiates teaching, provides individual and whole group support, integrates multiculturalism into teaching units, and offers encouragement and positive reinforcement. to keep students focused and motivated.
Over the past few years, I have acquired great verbal communication skills which allow me to meet all needs efficiently and operationally.
I think I am quite capable of '' occupy a young audience in a fun and educational way, according to their interests and activities that they enjoy.
