About Theodore
I'm currently a 3rd year chemical engineering exchange student studying at Monash University as part of my 'year abroad scheme' back home at the University of Sheffield (UK).
I'm passionate about helping others achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Tutoring allows me to do that with individuals who need extra attention when it comes to their studies. Having gone through high school, college and now university I've picked up many tricks that have lead me to academic success, one of my biggest strengths is my ability to communicate what I've learnt to others to help them achieve their goals.

I employ a problem-solving based approach to tutoring, and now have over 400 hours worth of experience tutoring. I use google slides which offers a highly interactive space where ideas can flow freely onto the page. I usually start with a brief introduction into the topic, highlighting the key topics and skills required for the lesson; then I jump straight into problems where I engage with the pupil in open discussion on how to tackle the problem. Usually my lessons last between 1 - 2 hours. I take a lot of care in preparation for my lessons, and I always ensure I pick the highest quality of questions that will really test the pupil; as I believe trial and error with repetition is the best way to learn difficult concepts. My lessons are for anyone in high school who's studying maths and science, and also 1st year undergraduate mathematics (for either pure mathematics, engineering, etc.)
