About Winnie
I am majoring in engineering, and have been practicing mental math for than ten years.
This type of arithmetic originates from use of an age old accounting tool, the abacus. Experts of mental math have an abacus in their minds; there is no limit to the range of numbers your mind can retain, only a limit to how much you are willing to practice and learn!

My teaching will be based on the talent of each student, their comfort with large numbers, dexterity with their hands...
Mental math requires guided practice through simple, difficult, then advanced calculations with and without the abacus. Patience and perseverance with practice will build comfort with large numbers; this type of math is great especially for young students familiarizing themselves with basic arithmetics.
