About Vanessa
Graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Music provided a formal structure to my lifelong engagement with the piano. The weight of the keys under my fingers remains a primary sensory touchstone for every piece I analyze. Over 10 years of teaching, I have observed that clear, thoughtful instruction is the best way to handle complex technical hurdles. My history includes 11 years within regional ensembles, which informed how I approach rhythm and harmony.
I guide students through the complexities of pedaling technique and posture with a calm, deliberate style. My goal is to ensure you feel supported through a steady, reliable learning process.

Articulate sound emerges from careful attention to dynamics and expression. The distinct click of a well-placed finger on a key signifies the start of a productive practice session. Grade exam prep like ABRSM or Trinity requires specific preparation.
Jazz improvisation and sight transposition are also central to my method. We practice often. My structured approach ensures you remain comfortable as we navigate your repertoire.
