About Maryellen

Patience is a byproduct of knowing exactly how messy the learning process feels. My route to an MS in Computer Science was rarely a straight line through the woods. Working with over 300+ students has taught me that the best breakthroughs happen after a series of wrong turns.

I prioritize creating a sustainable routine that functions once I am no longer part of the equation. Many of the people in my calendar are balancing complex coding concepts alongside the demands of a full 40-hour work week.

I prefer hearing an incorrect answer voiced aloud over a silent correct one. My goal is to make my own role completely redundant through steady guidance.

12 distinct years of experience have helped me simplify the way I explain technical hurdles. You deserve a mentor who values clarity over complexity in every conversation. It is easier to talk through logic when you know your instructor has been just as confused as you are. I am happy to help career switchers and beginners find their footing.
