About Fernando

I earned a Bachelor in Architecture from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in 1986. Since computers were not widely used at the time, my position as an architectural drafter in Mexico and the United States forced me to do all tasks manually. I also served as an associate professor of architecture at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, for five years. In 1999, I acquired my general contractor's license. In addition, I founded Design and Construction Navarrete and Associates in 1999, a firm specialized in the Navarrete architectural style and the construction of projects that I designed exclusively. Prior to the company's acceptance as an associate member of the American Institute of Architects, I labored for years to enhance the company's reputation. I am now a licensed architect in Mexico. Moreover, in accordance with the Tri-National Mutual Recognition Agreement for International Practice between Canada, Mexico, and the United States, I will be granted a California architect license.

I can help you with almost every area of architecture, including the formulation of a personal design philosophy, architectural theory, the drawing of details, and the staging of studio critiques. I am also semi proficient in AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, and TwinMotion. Similar to learning a new language, I have now mastered "archispeak," or the language of architectural design. Consequently, I am able to aid with essay ideas and editing.

Based on my assessment of my students' needs, I develop a lesson plan that is tailored to their particular aims and objectives. I continually present pertinent instances and explanations to support my claims. Each session finishes with a review of the covered material to verify that students are on track to achieve their stated objectives. I always include a review of previously taught material to ensure that my pupils have a complete understanding of the subject matter.
