About Drew Leigh
I began auditioning and performing at age nine and simultaneously gigged as lead vocalist with my family band. I was the child who chose acting, voice, and dance lessons over Saturday morning cartoons, and somehow juggled sports and other extracurriculars while keeping the ultimate goal of furthering my education in theater. I earned a BFA in Musical Theater and an MFA in Acting to pursue teaching. For nearly a decade I taught at higher education institutions, founded youth theater projects, and coached actors virtually for professional auditions, college pre-screens, and studio sessions. As a working actor I have performed across genres and teach for stage and screen, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs and goals.

Lessons begin by clarifying your goals, whether audition prep or building repertoire to love for years. I identify where storytelling can be optimized: releasing vocal tension, a physical warmup to center before performance, or memorization and preparation techniques to boost confidence. Teaching is flexible and tailored to your learning style(s). Optional modules in theatre history or literary study available for deeper context and artistic growth.

To aid in cost effectiveness, I will always try to find materials via public domain first. I myself own a lot of plays, scripts, librettos, etc…and will try to provide you with free and accessible art prior to you having to purchase anything on your own.
