About Sharon

I graduated from LCAD with an MFA in Fine Art and spent three years at LAAFA studying figurative drawing and painting. Over the past year, I have helped students build portfolios for OCSA and college, guided beginners through drawing and color fundamentals, and supported older adults as they explore drawing and painting at their own pace.

About the lesson

I teach both online and in person.
I focus on personalized lessons based on each student’s level and needs. Lessons usually start with fundamental drawing techniques and basic composition, then move on to color theory, or focus only on completing a specific project.

For online lessons, I use both traditional media and Procreate to provide feedback and suggest improvements to students’ work. Depending on each student’s interests, I am open to exploring different mediums, including oil, acrylic, graphite, charcoal, and pastel.

This comes clear through her actions, as she pays attention to details- often providing helpful advice when her student is faced with a challenge. She also pushes them to their limits in a gentle way, students improving fast under her eye. Through her teaching, a very both obvious and good component shows: she cares.
