I strive to instill not only helpful skills and strategies that my students can utilize, but also to help pass on an interest, or love, of reading and writing, even if just a sliver more than it was before. I am very patient and if something does not seem to be working, I don't hesitate to keep trying something else as each and every child is different.

I am an avid reader and love to write. I
specifically love to help my students succeed and get over their fears of struggling as readers and writers. I tailor my lessons to my student's needs and I ensure that they are comprehending the skills and strategies being taught before moving forward. I am very calm with lots of patience and I strive to find ways to make learning fun. I also love to read and teach classics such as The Outsiders and I really enjoy helping students learn how to write an essay.
