About Sarina
I am an art teacher, artist who has shown in galleries, professional illustrator, muralist, fashion designer, and art consultant. I have a degree in illustration from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and a master’s degree from Portland State University in education. I have taught preschool elementary, middle school, high school, and adults in America, but also internationally when I lived overseas in Korea and Japan. I am enthusiastic about art and want to share that passion with others. I look forward to hearing from you!

I think it is important cater to each individual’s needs. My teaching style is flexible depending on the interest and abilities of the student. When students need advanced feedback for critique and improvement, especially for college level, we make the learning more academic. When students are new and interested in exploring or expression, we are more focused on process and learning from our mistakes rather than perfection of execution or mastery of a skill. Once I know what a student wants or needs, we can come up with a plan together, as well as a timeline of how long it will take to execute a lesson or learn a skill.
