About Alina
I'm a Marketing and Product Designer with an educational background spanning Environmental Studies, Architectural Technology and Structural Engineering.
One of the common threads throughout my life has been my love of math, physics and teaching and I tutor part-time to share my enthusiasm with the next generation.
My teaching style is casual, conversational and enthusiastic and I'd consider test prep one of my specialities.
I have over 4 years of experience tutoring math and science (physics) from grade 7 to 1st year university and have also been a basketball and swim coach.

I think everyone is unique and there is no one-size fits all solution for learning, therefore my approach is always flexible and customized.
Depending on the learners style – we may do any number of things to work through their school curriculum materials including reading through them together or taking turns and having discussions and practicing question as needed.
Depending on the age and learners interests – I might curate some extra content by the way of short videos or experiments to better explain concepts and share my enthusiasm for math and physics as a means of helping to develop greater understanding of foundational concepts, while having some fun!
