Middle school math teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience teaches Pre-Algebra and Algebra to students online

To whom it may concern:

My name is Ashley Hatcher, I am a Special Education Teacher at Owensboro Innovation Middle School. I have had the pleasure of co-teaching with Crystal for the past two years.

Crystal is one of the hardest working teachers I have ever encountered. She takes ordinary math and turns it into real-world problem based learning in order to make math relevant and meaningful to her students. She tries to make math and summative assessments fun by creating clever and innovative projects in order to allow students the opportunity to display their knowledge and skills.

Crystal always goes above and beyond for her students. While we were virtual during the COVID-19 shut down, not only would she log in early and stay late but she offered optional nightly tutoring. Crystal gave up 2 hours of her night 4 days a week to offer tutoring sessions for students that needed extra help. Now that we are back in school, she continues to give her time to help students. Four days a week she comes in early and offers homework help.

Crystal is patient, kind, and has a heart of gold. She would make an amazing asset to your company and help many students along the way.
