My tutoring approach is student-centered, supportive, and appropriately challenging. I focus on helping students understand the why behind concepts rather than memorizing steps. I use questioning, visual models, real-world examples, and guided practice to strengthen problem-solving skills and confidence.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check of prior knowledge and goal-setting, followed by clear instruction or exploration of a concept. We then work through problems together before moving to independent practice and reflection or extension.
What sets me apart is my experience working with gifted and high-achieving students and my ability to personalize lessons while still pushing students to think deeply. I also integrate study skills, critical thinking, and college/career readiness when appropriate.
My lessons are designed for students from 7th grade through college, particularly gifted or high-achieving learners, in mathematics, science, and college/career preparation.
