My legal work was often in a courtroom, requiring focus despite distractions. This challenge often faces students in a classroom. One-on-one interactions with a tutor should encourage skills for maximizing classroom learning, including preparation and participation, even without raising one's hand. Being present, taking notes, ignoring distractions are all skills that require practice and benefit from reinforcement.

With my chemistry and math undergrad degree, I taught high school in New York City (The Dalton School and Bishop Riley High School).
After obtaining my law degree and practicing for years, I realized I have missed the energy of students and the satisfaction I gained from their growth.
Noticing the distance my own daughter experienced from schools closed by Covid, I want to help reconnect high schoolers with learning life skills.
One-on-one tutoring allows focus on a single student's issues causing distance.
