About DIEKETSENG

My name is Dieketseng Mokoena, and I am a final-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) student at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), majoring in Languages (English and Sesotho). I have over three years of teaching experience, including both classroom teaching and private tutoring, which has equipped me with the skills to support learners effectively and adapt to different learning needs.

I am a dedicated, patient, and professional tutor who is committed to helping students improve their understanding, confidence, and academic performance. My lessons are well-structured, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s pace and goals. I take pride in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and grow. With my strong background in language education and practical teaching experience, students can trust that they are in capable hands and will receive quality academic support.

About the lesson

My approach to private tutoring is learner-centered and based on a constructivist methodology, where students actively engage with content and build understanding through discussion, questioning, and real-life examples. I adapt each lesson to suit the learner’s individual needs, pace, and learning style, creating a supportive environment that encourages confidence and participation. What makes me unique is my ability to simplify complex concepts and use both English and Sesotho to ensure full understanding, especially for learners who benefit from learning in their home language.

In my lessons, students can expect clear objectives, interactive teaching, continuous feedback, and structured support with exam preparation, writing, and language skills. My tutoring is mainly aimed at high school learners (Grade 10–12), particularly those studying English First Additional Language, as well as students who need help with literature, grammar, and assignments, whether they are struggling or aiming to improve and excel.
