About Asad

I'm Mubarik Mohamoud, and I believe learning mathematics, algorithms, and coding should be empowering, not intimidating. Over the past several years, I've had the privilege of teaching and mentoring students at MIT while simultaneously building cutting-edge technology in industry-leading companies. This unique combination gives me deep insight into what truly matters: not just knowing how to solve problems, but understanding why solutions work and how they apply in the real world. My students consistently tell me that what makes the biggest difference is having someone who genuinely understands both the concepts and the struggle of learning them. I've been there—working through complex mathematics, debugging code, optimizing algorithms—and I know exactly where students get stuck and how to help them break through. My goal is to transform your relationship with these subjects from one of frustration to genuine confidence and mastery. You'll find that our sessions are clear, patient, and focused entirely on your success. I take pride in explaining difficult ideas in ways that actually stick, and I'm committed to meeting you where you are, whether you're building foundations or pushing toward advanced challenges.

About Me

I'm Mubarik Mohamoud, an MIT-educated engineer specializing in teaching mathematics, algorithms, and coding. With a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and years of professional experience as a Senior Engineer, I combine academic rigor with practical industry knowledge.

My Qualifications & Methodology

=> MIT Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science
=> MIT Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science
=> Teaching Experience: Graduate Teaching Assistant at MIT—led office hours, prepared course materials, and provided technical debugging support
=> Professional Experience: 4+ years as Senior Engineer implementing and validating complex algorithms in production environments
=> Technical Skills: Python, C/C++, Java | Algorithm design & complexity analysis | Linear algebra, calculus, discrete mathematics
=> Teaching Approach: I break down complex concepts into clear, understandable steps and connect theory directly to real-world applications in engineering and computer science.

What Sets Me Apart

=> Industry + Academia Combined: Unlike tutors with only textbook knowledge, I've spent years building production-level software and solving real engineering problems
=> Proven MIT Teaching Track Record: Graduate Teaching Assistant experience mentoring and debugging technical concepts at one of the world's top engineering institutions
=> All Three Areas Integrated: Most tutors teach coding or math or algorithms—I teach all three and show how they interconnect
=> Personalized Methodology: Whether you're in high school mastering calculus, a CS student tackling data structures, or preparing for coding interviews, I adapt to your level

What Works

=> High school and university students strengthening math fundamentals
=> Computer science students mastering algorithms and data structures
=>Students preparing for coding interviews and technical interviews
=> Anyone wanting to understand the mathematics behind computer science, not just memorize procedures
