About Terence
Hi, my name is Terry and I am a philosophy master's student at the University of St Andrews.
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield, where I also studied philosophy. I have a strong academic record and a passion for the subject, which is why I am as keen to teach it as I am to study it!
I am originally from London but my studies have taken me everywhere from Sussex to Sheffield, Dundee to St Andrews and I now reside in Brigg, where I will be remotely tutoring students in philosophy and relgious studies.

I am comfortable teaching GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate level Philosophy, as well as GCSE and A-level Religious Studies. A lesson will ideally consist of a presentation and discussion, lasting roughly an hour. A handout summary (with exercises, depending on the topic) will also be provided.
I have taught philosophy at secondary school level via the University of Sheffield's philosophy outreach programme, "Philosophy in the City". I have also worked for and help run PhilonoUS, the undergraduate philosophy journal based at the University of Sheffield, throughout my BA. This required the proof reading, checking, marking and evaluating of submissions from all over the world; I know what makes a good essay and what doesn't! Finally, I have received mentor training and experience from Northen Value Creators, working out of the University of Sheffield.
