About Sophia
"Ever wondered how to make those chord transitions sound fluid and professional? My path began at the MMus Vocal Performance programme at King's College London and RAM. I have spent 13 years as a performer and 12 years as a teacher. Along the way, I have worked with 276 students of varying abilities.
Teens and adults often come to me to learn power chords. They want to master acoustic technique and reading tabs. I keep the atmosphere playful and encouraging. It is all about the music."

"Technical proficiency grows best when the student feels relaxed and engaged with the instrument. Lessons feel like a collaboration between two musicians exploring the fretboard together. We focus on reading sheet music and mastering strumming patterns.
My background as a trained performer helps me teach songwriting effectively. Adults and teens learn tuning and maintenance alongside their repertoire. I emphasise consistent practice to build lasting skills.
My experience allows me to troubleshoot common hurdles quickly. Intermediate learners find my focus on detail very helpful. I hope you enjoy the process of learning."
