About Amanda
Strumming patterns, scales and modes, tuning and maintenance, reading tabs, songwriting, and power chords form the bedrock of my technique. Music theory usually feels boring until you realize it is just a map for the sounds you already love. Having taught hundreds of students over 13 years, I find the self-taught roots of my own playing still inform how I view the fretboard. I still remember the frustration of staring at blurry cassette tapes.
