About Magda

Precision remains my central focus during instruction, though I prioritize engagement to ensure students remain present. This direct approach often manifests as immediate, specific feedback that clarifies complex technical challenges quickly. Studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music shaped my view that extended techniques and quartertones belong in daily practice.

I guide students through scales, double stops, and orchestral excerpts while maintaining a structured environment for those preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams.

About the lesson

Instruction functions best when modern repertoire is treated with the same rigor as traditional canon works. You will find that my approach emphasizes rhythm, timing, and intonation through a calm, thoughtful lens.

Technical exercises serve as the foundation for broader musical exploration during our time together. My method avoids vague encouragement in favor of clear, actionable adjustments to your bowing mechanics and physical posture.

Eight aspects of violin performance are addressed systematically to build your confidence over time. Reference notes are provided after every meeting to support your independent progress. These materials ensure you retain specific feedback regarding your posture and bowing style between our sessions. Expect a clear path forward toward your technical goals.
