One thing that I take really seriously is that each student has a unique, preferred style of learning that must be taken into consideration as a tutor. I think it is very important to first get to know the student and what they are looking for out of the lessons, and to make a plan working from that basis. I cater to each of my tutees and over time, ask for feedback to ensure that the sessions are effective and beneficial for all.
I have been tutoring since high school, and have done both personal lessons and group sessions at both the high school and collegiate level. I really try to connect with my students wherever they are coming from, and relate to them in a way that makes sense to each person. As a rising senior at Harvard, I study Molecular and Cellular Biology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy, and naturally have a strong background in the sciences. I also hope to help students with collegiate prep, as I had a wonderful mentor myself who led me on my path.
If a cancellation is not made at least 48 hours in advance (with the exception of extenuating circumstances), the tutoring session will still be charged.
