About Esther
I am a lazy perfectionist! Although finding the will to sit down on the desk is so difficult, when I start studying I try to never skip a question I am uncertain about and will attempt to understand the whole concept before moving on. I also procrastinate a lot! So I am able to teach tips and tricks on how to deal with procrastination and no motivation. I like to be realistic, as learning is not always a linear journey. I am understanding of burn outs and I always try to put health, both physical and mental, before anything. I believe having a strong healthy body and mind is most important when it comes to achieving the ultimate results.

Having been tutored since year 1, I have not only learnt just the content, but I’ve also learnt what teaching methods work the best and how to achieve the best results in a short time.
Although teaching approach varies depending on the student, I am able to offer simplest ways to work out difficult question. Exploring formulas and the theory of mathematics rather than just figuring out the answer is what I tend to focus on. I highlight the importance of knowing and perfecting the fundamentals rather than speed. However, I also do understand speed and accuracy is important so I also include a lot of repetition.
I create lesson plans according to the needs of the student and the ways they best learn, figuring out what most benefits the student. I utilise various teaching strategies such as visual aids, discussion, real life application, and quizzes. And apart from the lessons, I am also available to contact for further help with solving questions students are finding difficult throughout the week.
