About Lorraine
I am a positively motivated and energetic teacher from Costa Rica with a strong desire to help children learn Spanish. I have delivered high quality care and learning opportunities to children aged between two and twelve years old while working as a second grade teacher in a private school and tutoring (TEFL certified).
As a sociologist I have participated in social and emotional development of impoverished children to help build resilience and promote their mental health and well-being.

Teaching Spanish with an inquiry-based method and communicative approach while incorporating fun learning activities into the sessions to keep the student interested and engaged. Each session new themes and activities are introduced based on the interests and needs of the learner; lesson plans provided to parents prior to the session. Patience, compassion and boosting children's confidence is essential while teaching.
