About Morcia

I am a qualified and experienced Primary School teacher with experience of teaching Early Years students and students with Special Educational Needs.

I am a graduate from the University of Surrey Education received a PGCE degree in Primary Education. I have a QTS qualification with seven years’ experience, teaching years 3 to 11 in schools; and almost 5 years’ experience as a One to One tutor, in homes, foster homes and Residential home for Young People in care. I have occasionally done supply teaching in various schools in all parts of London. I have taught within a Saturday Supplementary school setting in Brent, in recent years, which I have thoroughly enjoyed.

I can provide tuition in basic science, but I main teach Maths and English as the needs arises. I’m experienced in Alterative Provision tasks, with teaching and tutoring dyslexic students and have had some experience with students with ASD; OOD; those who have been excluded from school and those with little or no education. Additionally, I have worked with siblings, sometimes together or separately. I currently work as a 1:1 tutor for individual children and collaborated with groups of children with similar learning needs.

I have a range of practical and IT based teaching resources that supports and ensures that students can stay focus. I am able to plan, adapt and work with varied teaching styles to match the learning style of students who are visual, kinaesthetic or auditory learners (VAK). I use worksheet, encourage students to write unaided when necessary and guide them until they are more confident at what they are learning. Once given a brief of the student's needs, I can work with the information and assess each student as they progress and give a report.

My career change from being a full-time Class teacher, has allowed me to develop and progress in new teaching experiences within an home environment setting and thus develop my tutoring experiences; not only with students but with the parents and the carers. I am a patient and an ardent tutor. My times are flexible and I am willing to teach during the day or the late afternoons of a normal working day and some evenings.

- Roehampton University of Surrey - Ba (Hons) Degree in Combined Studies - Consisting of teaching studies [Awarded 2:2]

BTEC Certificate in Pharmaceutical Studies and was awarded qualifications as a Pharmacy Technician Kingsway and Princeton College - London 1984 - Present ( as a bank Staff)
HNC BTEC in Pharmaceutical Studies Kingsway and Princeton College - London 1991 - 1993 - received merits and Passes in Higher BTEC to advance pharmacy knowledge and experience.
