About Richard
Motivated and experienced A-Level Physics and Maths and Further Maths Tutor. I am currently going in to my 3rd year of my MPhys Physics degree at the University of Oxford with over 3 years of tutoring experience with a proven track record of success with previous students.
I am happy to tutor for students of any of the major exam boards for all subjects and have experience tutoring all maths and further maths modules. At A-Level I studied Maths, Further Maths and Physics and got A*A*A* and also got an A* in my EPQ. At university I recently got a first (75.9%) for my second year of studies. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and love for maths and physics to A-Level students - it is super interesting content and with the right help and self-confidence anyone can fly with their studies and begin to love the subjects!
My teaching method centres around identifying the underlying areas of topics of problem in the larger subject and targeting this with firstly a detailed overview from me, followed by specific problems both to be worked through with me and to be done individually. This is intended to develop both the problem solving nature of the course, while ensuring familiarity with the whole syllabus.
